Irma update............

Well after two weeks of hype, she finally came ashore today in the Florida Keys as a Cat 4 hurricane. We spent a week this past winter in the Keys, and have been there many times. Key West is a favorite city of ours,so sad.  I wonder who took the last flight out?  It was so entertaining watching all the reporters out in the storm trying to stand up from the wind and driving rain. The eye is tracking up the west side of the state and will come close to Tallahassee and right up thru Alabama before it hits Indiana.

We are staying in Montgomery until the storm passes. A tropical storm warning is issued for here, expecting winds of 35 mph with gust up to 70 mph, so the next few days should be very interesting to say the least. A reported 3 million people without power and that number will be a lot higher as she works her way up and out of the state.

Our campground has lots of tall trees, but we are taking no chances, we are hooked up and ready to roll if the wind proves to much for the trees. Our reservation for the state park on St. George Island was cancelled today, so that means they must be expecting damage.  We hope to get back to see our new granddaughter depending on the damage in the Tallahassee area, only time will tell. Prayers for all in harms way.
