Monte Sano State Park............
In Huntsville, Alabama is where we spent the 4th of July this year. The park is 2100 acers that sits on a 1678 ft mountain over looking Huntsville, with highs in the 90's it was a bit cooler up on the mountain. We had a family reunion as my son from Indy and my daughter from Florida came to spend the holiday. First time we have seen all the grandkids together since Christmas. They all played, hiked and had so much fun, sure made grandma and me smile and take home a lot of memories from this trip.
The park itself is old, lots of trees and was very quite for being sold out. our site was level, FHU site with 30 amps, our sons site was across the road and our daughter rented one of cabins on site that where built by the CCC back in the 1930's, she had a great view of Huntsville from her screened in porch, that we watched the fireworks from on the 4th.
All in all it was a fun trip and the Canyon Star delivered us there and back without any problems. Cant wait to get together again with this group soon.
