White River

Our family has had a prences on the river that dates back to the 1960's. A local farmer rents out bottom ground along the river for people to use and enjoy the river, most of these river camps where used by fishermen or as weekend retreats. My Uncle Howdy rented from the farmer one of these spots and built a small cabin on the banks of the river, Howdy is gone but the cabin still stands and is now owned by my son Andy, we purchased the 1/2 acre lot from the farmer a few years back. The flooding over the years have sent many a cabin or river camp into the river, the force of moving water is so devastating and destructive , yet the old cabin remains standing.
We have used this spot on the river for family reunions, weekend getaways, parties and so many fun times I cant count them all. We have a place to shoot tin cans, ride our atv's and enjoy nature that surrounds this little slice of heaven. We have a RV site that is full hook ups. We signed up for Boondockerswelcome.com and offer this site (River Camp) to use for anyone who is passing by for a night or two to get off the road. If your ever in the area please stop by and say Hi. Thanks to all who have served our country on this the 100 anniversary of the end of WW1.
