A new travel buddy.......
Yes finally pulled the trigger on a new Celestron Nexstar SE 6 telescope. We have always enjoyed the night sky with our naked eyes or binoculars when we are out camping or sitting on the back deck. The star party we attended a couple of years ago in the Fla Keys got us looking for a small ,powerful and compact scope that can travel with us or for use around our home.
This scope is a go to (computerized) unit that has over 40,000 objects loaded in its memory. I hope to be able to hook up my camera to the scope to get some nice pictures of the moon or distant planets and stars. It breaks down to a fit in a large tote and easy to transport with us. Assembly is quick and easy and it weight is about 30 lbs.
This is a well built scope that should give the whole family many years of sky watching.
