Finally Summer.........

Which means that camping season is in full swing. Schools are getting out and family's will fill up the parks and private campgrounds all across this great land. In Indiana reservation are required for weekend at state parks and on holiday weekends reservations well in advance are must. We enjoy camping in mid week in the summer months, let the working parents have the weekends .

We have a few trips planned to local state parks and a national forest mid week.  We like to set up camp in a peaceful setting and not have road noise disturbing our peaceful camp site. We try to be back home before the crowds arrive.  We joined Harvest Host and plan on using this site for a few overnights.

Fuel prices in Indiana are up over $3.00 a gal now, so that could be a factor on travel.  We have a big trip planned out west in September so we will be keeping an eye on the fuel prices as we get closer to the trip.  The motorhome holds 80 gallons of fuel so you can feel the pain when its time for a fuel stop, we stop when we are 2/3 empty now with higher prices we will use the gas buddy app and start looking at about a half tank to soften the amount spent at the pump. I might add I don't think the price of fuel will keep us from seeing the great country.

I will add more later as the summer fly's by. Everyone be safe out there and enjoy your adventures.
