Florida again......
We are heading back to Florida next week without the RV, making a quick trip to help my daughter move into their new home. Taking the pick up truck to help move some stuff as well as taking her some tools and house hold supplies. This will be the first trip without the RV and I will miss sleeping in my own bed on this trip plus the cost of staying in a motel. We will miss our lakeside camping spot as well.
We plan on being gone 6 days and stopping at a few places on the way down that we have seen but figured it would be to hard to get the RV and toad into the attractions. We are so excited that they have a house now as they started their family and settled into their jobs. Life is good!
Just a quick update. We have returned home from helping with the move, had a good time but moving out of a two story apartment was no fun. We stopped at several places on the way down and back that we wanted to see but figured it would be to hard to get the motorhome in and out of. We stopped in Nashville to visit the American Pickers new shop. A farm market south of Montgomery, Al. and took a different route into Florida. The Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Ky was very interesting.
Some observation on this trip. My truck got lot better gas mileage than the motorhome. Motels are dirty, noisy and expensive than staying in the motorhome. Eating out is a drag, its nice to have a home cooked meal in the motorhome. I will post some picture from the trip later.
