Spring has sprung...............................
A really nice first weekend of Spring, well at least one day was nice as we headed out to Lake Monroe for the weekend. The Paynetown campground had not opened yet but with the nice weather and spring break the canpground was 1/2 full. We had a nice camp area that was pretty private and kep us away from the crowds. Saturday was bright sun and 75 degree temps for us to hike and explorer the lake. Many boats where out and all the parking lots for the trails and fire tower where full most of the day. Sunday it was rain and back to cold temps. Got to spend the weekend with our grandkids, our son and his wife. We ate great and had some really tasty grilled cheese sandwhiches. One of our favorite resturants for breaded tenderlions was closed so we missed out getting this Indiana pork treat. I can see right now that all of the Indiana State Parks will be at or near capisity this summer so Iam thinking to do some during the week camping to avoid the crowds till we get our second shot and mo
